U.S. Unemployment Map – A Story

I got an email from Steven Gallison, who runs the Maryland outplacement organization known as POAC, with a link to a map that shows unemployment changes by county of a year.  This is a sobering depiction of what has happened with the unemployment rate over time … crazy stuff!

Note that the figures are based on unemployment numbers, which does not 100% accurately depict unemployment.  While it is a measurement that we can use, it doesn’t tell the whole story.
