Resumes staff will gladly give you more resume help with a free
critique and price quote to redo your resume.
Please email your resume to: resume@career-resumes.com
or use the online form below. Make sure we have a daytime
phone number to call you back, as the critique we provide
is done verbally only. In calling individuals at their
place of employment, we never leave a message that would
put one's position in jeopardy. Please don't ask us to
email back a response unless you are an International
client. We speak to over 50-75 individuals a day, so if
you are really not entertaining the possibility of having
your resume professionally prepared, we would appreciate
it if you would not email us a copy of your resume. We
try very hard to get back to you within 24-48 hours of
when we receive your document. |
If you do not have a resume, you need to call us at 1-800-800-1220 so we can discuss your background and give you a price quote. If you get our voice mail (we are not in the office 24 hours per day), please leave us a daytime phone number to call you back. Make sure you include an area code with the number. We are very discreet when calling and would never put your job in jeopardy. If we can't leave a message on your voice mail, we won't leave one.
The criteria for making a decision
as to whether you should have your resume professionally
prepared is as follows:
If you are sending out your resume and it is getting you interviews, it doesn't matter what Career Resumes' thinks. Don't change it and don't send it in for a review. The statement of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. The job of the resume is not to get you a job, it is to get the phone to ring. However, if it is not ringing, it needs to be changed. Do not sit there and say "something must be wrong with me." It is probably the resume that needs fixing, not you.
If you are sending out your resume and you are not getting the interviews you feel you should be getting (I was perfect for that position and heard nothing or just got a form letter), it doesn't matter what YOU think, it probably needs to be redone. As long as you are prepared to bite the bullet and cross the bridge, we should talk. Pick up the phone and at the very least, we will tell you WHY the phone is not ringing. Then you can decide if we should fix the problem.
