I am now a finalist for two positions. One is an industry CFO position and the other is with a medical college. I had my fourth interview at the medical college yesterday.
My international broadband leadership experience coupled with my recent Masters in Education provided me the opportunity to lead their instructional design division.
At each meeting with the college, the interviewers commented on what a great resume I had. The way that you designed the resume and presented my experience impressed the readers and gave me the flexibility to apply for this position.
I know that I am up against Ivy League educators already in the healthcare sector but at least I have had the chance to present my case and this was only possible because of my resume presentation.
Hopefully I will receive an offer (I feel good about the chemistry) but if I do not, I have a new feeling of confidence that I have a competitive resume that works in this market and across industry sectors.
Thank you for all of the time you spent with me to identify the salient points needed to make me stand out as a viable candidate.
Maybe you’re among the 70% of individuals who hate their job…
You work like a dog and want something better, but you don’t get calls for interviews. Do you realize that 500-700 resumes/CVs are submitted along with yours for each position you apply for?
Imagine a resume or CV that does its job – getting you chosen for an interview!
Isn’t it time you got calls for the good jobs? An exceptionally written and designed resume/CV is the only way to capture the attention of the person who will hire you.
There are a lot of good resume-writing services, but there are few true experts…
That which makes you a talented professional in your chosen industry, does not necessarily make you a talented resume/CV writer. Summarizing your skills and experience in a manner that appeals to an Executive Recruiter/Search Consultant and/or Hiring Professional and sets you apart from the competition takes time, effort and a really talented “wordsmith.” Think about it. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
